Sri Apurba Ballav Goswami, a resident of Golaghat District, Assam, and a social worker, environmentalist, and senior journalist by profession. Over the years, my modest efforts in public service have been graciously acknowledged by esteemed dignitaries such as His Excellency, the Hon’ble Ex-Governors of Assam, Sri P.B. Acharya and Sri Banwarilal Purohit, who have honored me with appreciation letters. I have also been conferred the prestigious “Investigative Journalism” award by the Sentinel Group of Assam and recognized by various institutions for my contributions to society. I am awarded many accolades by different organization for my continuous effort for preservation of environment. Recently, based on my complaint, National Green tribunal has taken a suo moto case against Numaligarh Refinery Limited for river pollution. I was humbly bestowed with the “Bharat Gourav Puraskar” by Bharat Vikash Sangram.
